1. Do something on LinkedIn every day. One of the keys to success in marketing is consistency. Share a post, comment on a post within the first two hours – LinkedIn editors are more likely to promote this content and provide visibility.

2. Be sure to share to include content at the top when you share posts on LinkedIn – think of it as prime real estate!

3. For every three posts, one should be dedicated to someone else. Feature an article about an employee or alumni, write about a company milestone (i.e., this day in history), and promote Hanukkah, Thanksgiving, National Donut Day (take photos of employees eating donuts), etc.

4. Employees must be onboard with your social media strategy. You may have 1,000 followers on your LinkedIn page, and your employee may have 5,000. Figure out who knows who, map out those relationships.

5. Have a strong headline for your LinkedIn profile. Your headline is published on Google and is often the first thing people see when searching.

6. Space out your postings – it is OK to post on LinkedIn more than once a day but be sure to wait four to six hours before posting something else. You don't want LinkedIn editors to mark it as spam!

7. Use COPE strategy – Create once, post everywhere. Be sure to revise and repurpose your content. Be mindful of character limits and the sizing of visual images. For example, LinkedIn has a longer character limit than Twitter. Be sure to resize images used on Instagram repurposed for LinkedIn. Use images to promote your message on Instagram. If you are doing a podcast, make sure you have it transcribed to repurpose snippets of content.

8. Use visuals – Do not post content on social media without visuals. Not a graphic designer? Programs like Unsplash and Canva are here to save the day.

9. Be sure to have evergreen content on file – Evergreen content is also known as "content that keeps on giving" Good examples are articles like employee work from home tips, pets, benefits of yoga, use holidays as a content source. Numbers do well – "The five benefits of daily meditation."

10.Do not use more than three hashtags in a post, and never post without a hashtag
